The Şamlı site is located 30 km from Balıkesir’s city center.

The Şamlı Mine has been operating since 1975 as a producing mine, having comparitevely high grade and facilities with an appropriate infrastructure to produce an annual capacity of 100,000 tons.

The main ore mineral is magnetite at this site, and sales of over 1.6 million tons of iron ore have been achieved so far.

Indicated and Inferred Resources stand around 1,000,000 tons at 57% Fe grade.
